EFFECT: A table or tray filled with cloth bags are shown. The performer says he will do something special under TEST CONDITIONS. Two participants come up to test the performer. One performer names a number to eliminate some bags, and take one to hold themselves. The eliminated bags are handed out to the audience who confirm that what is inside are metal spoons. Nothing unusual other than that.

The second participant picks up several bags and these are also examined by the audience. Finally, two bags are held by the second participant. They are to keep one and hand one to the performer, who once again hands this bag to the audience for examination.

Now, as fair as this is, the performer turns to the first participant holding their chosen bag. The performer concentrates. The bag begins to move a little. When the participant opens their bag, the spoon inside is seen to be bent! Remember, the performer never touches the spoon, and the participants choose bags, with others being examined by the audience.

Then it gets crazier. The second participant is asked to hold up their bag. In a while, the bag starts to move, sway, even swing from side to side. When it settles down, the participant opens their bag and checks their spoon. It is not only bent, it is completely twisted in a complete mess!

While everything has been examined, you could have the audience take home all of the spoons if you choose.
